The sky was now no longer a beautiful robin eggs blue, it was as dark as the sea during the fall months. The stars could be seen clearly here with no problems from the clouds or the moonlight that now illuminated half of the canyon's face. If it wasn't for his giant red wings - he would be nearly invisible within the night sky. But alas he was created with such splendors that he was and could be easy to spot across the heavens as he soared. But tonight the skies were not alone with just Inika soaring within the stars, a small female common white crested hawk was not far up ahead looking for a midnight snack. Hmm, this would be fun - he thought. The brute soars himself higher so that as he moved he was hovering over her within a couple of miles above. His shadow cast over her and onto the canyon western banks and the squeak that screamed out the hawk's beak would echo. Not that Inika himself could hear it anyway - but the body posture change was enough of a clue to know that she knew the air now held a beast within its grasp. He would soar like this for a few more miles, sweeping around and around the canyons as the night continued to go on without a care in the world. His wings would grow tired after a while, and so would he. After his little game was done with the Hawk he finds himself a place near the Star Canyons edge and lands himself softly down within its range of the Bay area.

Inika huffs loudly and within about six paces forward he lays himself onto his stomach and crawls his wings up and outward from his sides. His upper wings would hold and blanket his spine and nape while the other two would expand and creep across the landscape like a red blanket. Yawning the beast would look out across the stones and pillars of rocks before feeling the ache in his bones to hit him like a falling tower. Another couple minutes later and a deep and loud yawn eclipses from his mouth as he exhales. A breath of air filling his lungs and a quick clean of his toes and soon he was out.

Venturing through the canyons at night had not been on his things to do, but here he is. A lost soul that wanders in search of nothing, and yet of something at the same time. A hot pink tongue swipes out to clean his maw of the red that stained his lips from the quick swipe of food he snatched up earlier. It was not a filling catch but did sate him for the time being. The moss colored canine sniffs curiously at the air, catching the scent of something...someone. Who else could be out here in this wasteland of dirt and cliffs? Growling to himself, Marma swats a rock over the canyon's edge in agitation and watches as it plummets downward. That too could be his fate if he is not careful of his steps.

Finding nothing in his vicinity to interest him, Marma decides with little hesitation to follow after this new smell that drifted in the night's air. His pace is that of a brisk walk, almost a trot but not quite as his heart beats rapidly in his chest when he finds the owner of the smell. Enormous red feathers lay out flat along the landscape, and Marma stops just before them suddenly feeling like a pup. Extremely curious as to what this beast is, he crouches and sniffs at the elegant crimson feather. His snout touching them very softly. Lifting his head slightly, purple optics trailing the bundles of feathers upward to find what looks to be another set of the same wings. This...giant...would it be wise to wake it? Certainly not but Marma couldn't help the exciting pleasure he gets from the tingling sensation running down his spine and causing the fur along it to rise. Like a drug, he couldn't get enough of it.  It had been years since he had felt anything like this, and he wasn't willing to let it go anytime soon.

However, he is also at a loss. What shall he do if the beast is unfriendly toward his company? Would a creature of this size even see one of his sizes as something other than prey or a nuisance? He shakes his head of the many swarming thoughts. It did no good to worry about "what if's".

Marma bends down and lightly touches the feathers again with his nose, secretly hoping the creature would wake. Hopefully not angered by his intrusion.

He was finally in a deep sleep, His mind throwing out dreams left and right that just seemed way too quick. The death eater whimpers within his dreams as he tried to sift them all out. One came and went like rain falling from the sky. Another was something of watching a bird swimming within a dark pool with no reflections. Was that one a prophecy? Perhaps something futuristic to come? Then as soon as that one came and went, another followed by endless fire crossing the fields and forest floors. His face was pinching and pushing in many different expressions by this point as he dreamed each one. His nose curls and wrinkles at the thought of the fire coming over his toes. And just at that time the wolf outside his dreams was playing and touching his wings. So within his dreams, he believed it to be the fire tickling across them. His wings would jerk slightly at the touch and then grow calm as his face pinches yet again in expressions unknown to the sleeping giant. When the wolf played with his wings again, this time in his dream the fire creeps up and burns him to the point where he screams. He wakes up in a fury of mass emotions - wings span out as paws crash into trees and rocks. In a fury, he stands and pants looking around. "FIRE?!" he thinks to himself scanning the tree lines below. No...there was no fire....but why did it feel....so ...real

No longer sleeping, he looked around - his eyes in a daze as his breathing spiked up and down before throwing his head left and right. Why, why did it feel so freaking real? It made him wonder. It was then that he realized the scent within the air. He wasn't alone here anymore.

The bulky male was too busy admiring the beauty and softness of the giant's feathers to notice its discomfort during slumber and nearly had a heart attack when it suddenly jumps to its paws in a panic, wings that he was just admiring fan out as the giant pants and looks around. Marma, to say the least...shit his pants. He scrambles backward and out of the way of the giant as his pulse skyrockets, and he lOVES it. He hates to admit it, but three years off the battlefield has left him yearning for something more, and the fear for his life while standing at the paws of an enormous four winged canine did just the trick. His ears drop to his head as he looks up to find its face, his right hind leg moving one step backward. When it started to sniff the air, Marma though perhaps he should announce himself,  but his body would not listen as he could only stare up at the giant with his mouth slightly agape, pure delight and admiration on his face and in his purple eyes.

"Ha...ha....ha.."
Came the panting sounds from the mouth of the enormous beast. Red eyes now dilate to their smallest form as his eyes scanned every possible place around him. Until finally they landed on the small peakish dot below. It said nothing - simply stared up at him in awe or fear, which he wasn't sure of just yet. But noted no lip movements the brute lifts a paw and aims to smack it into the ground nearly as hard as he could. Sending shock waves across the earth as his digits plummet into the dirt and soils. He coils his body to snake halfway around the tiny creature as he leans down. His eye exposing itself as an enormous orb before the small creature now. "Want to die? Cause that's how it's done.." he said with a bit of irritation under each word he spoke. He could see that this beast was daring him - or Inika took it that way when nothing was said to him. Or even an apology to startling him awake. A loud growl escapes his mouth as a shroud of smoke and shadows starts to swallow at Inika's ankles and belly. The large beast backs into the forming shadows halfway as he snaps his jaws.

Marma sputters as the beast took on an aggressive state, accidentally popping the poison sack in his mouth, causing his tongue to glow blue along with his lavender salvia transitioning to bright hot pink. The excessive drool spills out of his mouth and the mossy green canine struggles to back up and wipe it from his mouth, failing knowing well that it will remain toxic for another hour or so. Then the giant began to become one with shadows, causing his own markings to glow with the lack of light. Oh dear heavens above, he prayed the enormous male didn't take the lights as an intimidation display. With his head low, he attempts to apologize to the beast before he could eat him. The rush of his blood like a drug.

"F-forgive me, Red-Wing, I was in awe of your beauty and greatness," he stampers quickly, stepping backward to avoid the snapping maw. "I apologize if I have caused any disrespect toward you!" The 'old' wolf bows his head twice, and also once again wipes the pink saliva from his chin. His heart still hammering in its cage despite the elevated levels of dopamine in his system. "Please pardon my rude interruption,"
