It was a day just like the rest. Curled up in a cell that had grown far too small for the growing beast, her tail laying across the stone ground through the bars. From down the hall, the sound of foot steps approached in the darkness, carrying food for the other captives most likely. They never did feed her anymore, keeping her starved for the ring. For the time, all was at peace, but the darkness was soon betray the handler whose footing found it's way onto Amut's tail which quickly awoke her from her slumber, from the shadows a pair of eyes the color of ice followed by a low grumble filled the air. The boy stumbled forward, losing both his footing and what had been balanced in his arms. Scrambling to his feet, he rose only to be plastered back onto the floor with a searing pain across his back. Amut's tail had swung and hit it's mark, leaving him with a bloody mark that he wouldn't soon forget, sure to scar him physically at the very least. The smell of blood filled her nostrils as if mocking her, feeling her own guts growling back at her in their own protest. Letting out a sigh as his panicked footsteps disappeared, all she could do was wait for her stage.

And it would seem she wouldn't have to wait too long either. As they say edged on, the undertow of the Colosseum where she and others were kept was in a bustle preparing for today's fights and what better way to christen the field than by staining it red with their prized killer? Over the muffled crowd, the sound of the mechanisms sounded like the dinner bell as the heavy gate to the ring was raised. <b>"I wonder what's on the menu today."</b> She chuckled to herself as her long body unfurled itself and entered the ring. Hopping out into the center, she stretched herself up and let out a screeching roar which only seemed to enliven the crowd further. But something didn't sound quite right. The ground began to rumble and shake to everyone's confusion and concern. She couldn't see beyond the towering walls, but many of them began screaming something about the volcano. She didn't even know there was a volcano, but apparently it was upset over something and throwing quite the fit. The rumbling didn't seemed to do much damage , but she did notice that it gave way to part of the wall near the top were it connects to the metal barred 'lid. She didn't even give herself enough time to consider the size of the hole. It was narrow, but so was she, right? Unfurling her wings, she used the hook like claws on the ends to grab holds and clambered up the side with ease. The next part would be tricky though it seemed the crowd near the whole wasn't completely unaware and i had become a state of total chaos. Lashing her head through like a striking cobra, she managed to just barely catch the cloth on one's back, barely missing the skin and leaving her with nothing more than a mouthful of fabric. Spitting it out, she struggles to pull her wings tight enough, beginning to wriggle and squirm until one finally came free on the other side, claws digging into stone until finally she was free. For the first time, she wasn't contained by bars or chains. Looking around, there was nothing stopping her from going where she wanted and doing as she pleased. Unfortunately for those nearby, her grumbling stomach reminded her just what she wanted to do.

Clambering up the seating after a straggler, she lunged onto her prey and ended him with ease. With no armor to tear through, he was nothing but a walking meat sack and that warm blood really hit the spot, but it was short lived as trained guards started to come after her to either try to kill her or put her back in the box. Neither of which she liked the idea off. Taking one last chunk, she swallowed it whole before rushing further up the steps towards the top. Ebony claws scrapped against stone as she lurched with purpose, but the closer she drew to the top, the more dread that started to fill in the pit of her stomach. She's be shackled to the ground her entire life. Would her wings even be able to support her? Reaching the top, she nearly toppled over the edge, staring down in dismay. She looked back over her shoulder, long tail coming off the ground before snapping with such force to one side it looked as if the first one it collided with had been struck with a blade before stumbling. Not dead, or perhaps he would be by the time his body stopped rolling at the bottom.  Still, they drew closer and she wasn't given much choice. Leaning back, she lunged forward, propelled by her hind legs like tiny spring boards. Those large, inexperienced wings spread wide and her fall seemed to slow. She may not have been flying, and it was by no means graceful, but she was gliding. Having been able to catch the air enough to not plummet to the ground. Each movement of her wings made her fall further until she crashed into the streets of the populace. Her heart pounding, she rose to her feet and looked around, everything foreign and new. Everything, well, screaming. The volcano was no longer their most immediate problem. <i>She was</i>.

Ned clicks his tongue and shakes his head with a sigh as chaos breaks loose as the once caged beast breaks forth and into the crowd. "Well... I suppose I was going to set them free anyways but this is much less fun for me." Normally Ned would be displeased with the people being devoured. Normally. Today? He figures its what they have earned. Keep something caged away and its bound to go insane and get out to eat you eventually. Ned drums on his "walking stick" as he scans the masses for any one that may have been employed at the ring. upon spotting one, Ned ensures his hood is down, and that his wings and tail are tucked in; giving him a false hunched back. With a wave of his left hand, the worker he had spotted let out a blood curling scream as the claw at their face but soon expire as blisters form on their skin and blood pours from their eyes; their blood had been boiled. Grabbing the corpse by the collar Ned shouts "Hey! You missed one!" and launches it at the dragons face, hoping they catch it. If not, its not really his problem.

Her ears perked, scanning her new surroundings with intense interest when she heard a voice yell. But the yelling isn't what caught her attention. Many where yelling and screaming, but this one seemed almost calm. One ear snapped to his direction before her whole head followed to see a corpse flying her way. Mouth drawing wide, she snapped her head forward and let teeth sink into the rag doll before spitting it out in recoil. She was familiar with the tantalizing warm blood of a fresh kill, but that wasn't right. That was <I>hot</I> and the skin covered in boils was something she wanted no part of. Lowering her head back so that her neck arched in quite the exaggerated manor over her back, she slunk forward towards him before stretching her neck out of get a whiff of the man. He didn't reek of fear. In fact, he didn't smell like the rest of these beings at all. Retreating from his arms length, she asked in that sharp sounding tongue of hers. <b>"What are you?"</b> She wasn't entirely expecting an answer and she didn't have the time to worry about it too long as there were things a bit more important at the moment.

Clicking his tongue as the corpse is spat out, Ned can't help but be a little disappointed as his lack of foresight on that he made it less than palatable; but is quick to move on. It really doesn't matter in the here and now or the big picture. Upon being asked what he is, a low rumbling chuckle rolls out from under his hood. But there are no words. Quickly looking around, he checks to see if eyes are on him. They are not. The peoples are too worried about saving their asses. "All that matters is, I was going to see you set free. Though you did that yourself. A word of advise? You're not the only dragon here. There is another, likely not far, of immense powers. Rules the area, even. Do with that knowledge as you will." Ned gives a quick glace to the skies before continuing. You find yourself in the land of Daizarthican. There are many other lands of which you may go to once you strengthen your wings. Should you journey out, you will likely find a great many things to test your prowess against, that are for more entertaining then these weak humans. And judging from their smell, some taste a lot better too."

Amut had turned, beginning to leave the stranger in order to continue her hunt, but what he said caught her attention. She quickly swung her head around to meet his gaze. Raising her head, she almost seemed to double in size from her usual crouched, position. Looking down at him, Amut bared her teeth, but made no movement to physically attack him. "This certainly sounds like a threat, message man. What is this, a nice way of saying 'get out'?" She hissed at him in that sharp tone that cut right to the bone. Her lips once again concealed her predatory teeth, the light of the day catching the still wet surface her face, what seemed black as the void glistened red as it dripped from her chin to the pavement at her feet. This wasn't her blood though, oh no, but it decorated her hide like war paint. The name they called her in the ring was making more and more sense, she was in fact Amut the Bloodied. Bloodied with those around her as she left them smeared in the dirt. Violence is what she's been taught her entire life and it didn't seem to be changing any time soon.

The sound of clattering feet could be heard approaching, their heavy feet against pavement didn't seem to really bother Amut, in fact she almost looked excited as her sapphire eyes scanning the area where the sound came from before locking eyes onto her targets. She let a roar reverberate through her chest, unnerving the guards. One brave, or perhaps stupid, archer raised his short bow to take aim at the rampant beast that was she. Amut's tail whipped through the air and collided with a loud crack against the man. He wouldn't be using that arm any time soon as the weapon dropped from his grasp, red trickling down his arm. "If that's all you have to say, my dinner has just arrived." She said in a quieter tone over her shoulder.

Glowing white eyes glare out from underneath the hood. Dragon number 2 met and this one is abrasive as well, causing Ned to become a touch annoyed. "The other dragon rude too." he says mostly to himself as he groans and pulls at his face. "If I wanted you to leave, I'd have told you to leave. I am not messenger. I am a God and you would do well to not make enemies of those who would help you."  With a low grow Ned practically rips the hood off and pops out his dragon-like wings and tail. Before the beast now stands a large man of odd features. Standing well over 8 feet tall, the man has pointed ears and patches of grey scales and bark contrasting sharply against pale skin. As a few guards move to flank, Ned deftly taps the end of his staff on the stone; upon which doing so the very wood the staff is made of peels away to reveal a long spear point. With a twirl of the spear, Ned easily deflects a mace and decapitates the man during his riposte. The second man isn't so lucky. With but a glance the man essentially explodes as his blood is drawn from his body with force and now forms a hovering shield to Ned's back. Turning back to the dragon he asks with soul piercing eyes "Will you consider my words, or will you stay here with these worthless people? Look at how easily they fall. You can do so much more."

Amut turned back to him as the hooded figure she'd been conversing with suddenly revealed his striking features. Like a cobra coming face to face with a mongoose, she wasn't sure who to be more concerned about, him or the guards. The decision was made for her when the clank of metal surrounded them. Letting out a snarl she turned from him, showing him her back as she raised up onto her two hind legs. Her two large wings spread out at her sides, casting a long shadow as she let out a screech. Strangely, from the shadow, she saw two small wings emerge below her normal set. It was such a strange feeling, like ripping through a membrane, the dragoness that looked like she shouldn't have any limbs suddenly sprouted two more. For a moment, she forgot where she was, wanting to see just what had happened, but the sound of two behind her reaching a messy end, brought her back to the present and she leapt forward, plowing into the assailants, tearing into them, tail trashing as her body wriggled, blood leaking through the cobble stone ground.

Looking back up with fresh blood on her face, she looked back at the god, slithering back over, she landed at his feet, twisting and contorting her body to look at the tiny wings she'd sprouted. Catching glimpse of a brave humanoid through her coiling body, her tail came down with a vengeance, adding him to the body count. Opening and closing one of the wings a few times, she started to sort herself back out and stepped around him, encasing him in a loose circle. "You're contagious and I like it. Where are we going?"

Utterly caught off guard, Ned can't help but flash a toothy smile and chuckle at the dragon rolling on the ground before him, which only shifts to further confusion as he is labeled as "contagious". With a shrug he figures she must refer to his personality or something, after all he isn't sure at all if he could grant new wings, not to mention not knowing at all this is what the dragoness is referring to. "I'm glad to hear you'll not be staying here amongst this filth! To the South we go. We are currently in the Imperial City, we head to the mountains where you may hunt nimble prey, and prey more powerful then these simple humans. Perhaps we may even condition your wings and grant you the ability of flight, to be death from above. Should we find a stone wall on our way out, I shall tell it to move. It will be simple." Ned assures the dragon. Calmly walking towards the South, Craven gestures with his wrist, casting the cobblestone ground into the sky; forming a wall which blocks off a street. All the better to prove his point.

"Ever seen a N'oact'ucur? Bigger then a bear, has horns. And a lot more meat then these little shits walking the streets here. In some parts, there are giant flying whales too. You've much to look forward to, in the world outside of this place."

Right side up again, Amut repositioned her extremities. Large wings folded up to function as legs, small hind legs hidden among the mass as he body swayed, but the new wings had a mind of their own. Not really sure how to function with them yet, they would start to fold, but she'd never had wings like this before. Unlike a bird or even Nidhogg, her wings had a funtion beyond flight and has never had to keep them tucked at her side. With every step, one would girl open, then curl more closed as the other opened, and so on. Her tail drug across the ground behind her, leaving a snake like trail through the blood.

He seemed to be rambling on about creature's and the sort, a whale with wings and a... Bear that's not a bear? Seemed far-fetched, at least it would be had it not been Amut. She was a dragon after all. Hadn't really seen another one of those around either so she may be an oddity just as these that he spoke of. She began to wonder what such oddities would taste like which only hastened her pace. When he finally said she had so much to look forward to, she slipped a chuckle between a toothy smirk as she says simply. "So much to taste."
